Will Bitcoin Price Rebound to $85K or Drop Below $80K Next?

Bitcoin price is testing the $80,000–$81,500 support zone after hotter-than-expected U.S. inflation triggered fresh selling.
On-chain data shows mixed signals, with large holders accumulating while Coinbase Prime inflows weaken and Binance records substantial BTC withdrawals.
A recovery above $82,800 could open the path toward $85,000, but a break below $80,000 risks a deeper correction.
Bitcoin (BTC) is approaching a critical support zone near $81,000 as selling pressure intensifies following hotter-than-expected U.S. inflation data. The latest decline has put the market’s accumulation trend to the test, with large holders adding Bitcoin even as institutional demand shows signs of weakness. Meanwhile, substantial withdrawals from Binance suggest some investors are moving BTC away from exchanges.
Bitcoin now faces a key question: Can buyers defend $81,000 and push prices back toward $85,000, or will weakening demand trigger another leg lower?
Bitcoin Accumulation Signals Turn Mixed as Institutional Demand Weakens
Bitcoin’s on-chain picture is sending mixed signals. Data shows that accumulation among larger wallet groups has weakened, while medium-sized investor deposits to Coinbase Prime have nearly halved. The 60-day net accumulation trend among wallets holding 100–1,000 BTC has also declined sharply.

These trends suggest that buying pressure is becoming less consistent across investor groups. Coinbase Prime is particularly important to watch because it serves institutional clients, although lower inflows alone do not prove that institutions are selling.
At the same time, Binance is recording substantial Bitcoin withdrawals. Recent data indicates that its 10 largest BTC withdrawal transactions exceeded 15,000 BTC, while its reserves declined significantly in early October.

Exchange outflows can indicate that investors are moving coins into private custody rather than preparing to sell. However, withdrawals alone do not confirm accumulation because transfers between wallets and custodians can also contribute to the figures. The central signal is a divergence between large-holder activity and institutional demand. Bitcoin needs stronger spot buying to sustain a recovery rather than relying on exchange withdrawals alone.
Bitcoin Price Analysis: Can BTC Reclaim $85,000?
Bitcoin price today hovering around $81,000, after falling roughly 3% over 24 hours following the latest U.S. inflation report. The decline pushed BTC below its 20-day exponential moving average, while the $80,000–$81,500 area emerged as the immediate support zone.

The first hurdle for buyers is a recovery above $82,800, near the 20-day EMA. A sustained move above this level could improve short-term momentum and bring $84,000–$85,000 into focus. However, Bitcoin must first establish support near $81,000. A decisive breakdown below $80,000 could expose the $78,000 area, where another important market-price benchmark sits.
What’s Next For Bitcoin (BTC)
Bitcoin’s rebound toward $85,000 depends on whether buyers defend the $80,000–$81,500 zone and restore demand across spot markets. Large-holder accumulation and exchange withdrawals provide some support for the longer-term outlook, but weaker institutional inflows and persistent selling pressure remain risks. A recovery above $82,800 would strengthen the bullish case, while a break below $80,000 could send BTC toward $78,000.
