PolitiFi Token Trend Grows But Trump Token is Rejected by Kraken and Other Exchanges: 3 Alternative Meme Coins to Buy

Crypto keeps evolving and the latest trend is โPolitiFiโ cryptocurrencies, which pay homage to political figures, like former U.S. President Donald Trump.
However, centralized exchanges are rejecting the sectorโs frontrunner, TRUMP, because it is โtoo political.โ So later in this article, we examine three alternative meme coins to buy instead.
Crypto PolitiFi Tokens in Flux
Prominent centralized exchange Kraken has snubbed the TRUMP token due to its political affiliation. However, the exchange listed another Trump-themed meme coin, โTREMP,โ and its Joe Biden counterpart, โBoden.โ
TRUMP, which features an image of the former president with laser eyes as its logo, is mainly traded on decentralized exchanges and smaller centralized exchanges, including MEXC, BingX, LBank, and BitMart.
Steven Steele, the projectโs marketing director, recently said in a Telegram conversation with CoinDesk that the TRUMP team applied for a Kraken listing in mid-May and never heard back.
โThe exchanges that have refused to list TRUMP for ‘political reasons’ are exhibiting embarrassing levels of cowardice that is also incredibly tone deaf to the current meme coin landscape and their own customers,”
Steele also claims that ByBit and OKX rejected TRUMP on similar grounds, concerned about the political implications of listing the token.
Despite the flux, the PolitiFi movement has continued moving forward with another Trump-themed token launching, rumoured to be officially endorsed by Trumpโs ongoing presidential campaign.
The token is called DJT and surged over 200% after launching on Monday, but due to scrutinization about whether Trump is behind it, it has plunged over 30% today.
Revered crypto trader GiganticRebirth was among those who questioned the connection between the token and the official campaign. So much so that he offered a $100 million bet against convicted pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli.

While PolitiFi narrative is rapidly developing, the line between a meme coin and a political lever is often blurred – and this makes it challenging to foster adoption.
With that in mind, letโs look at three alternative meme coins to buy instead.
PlayDoge
The PlayDoge presale offers a light-hearted, engaging, and highly promising alternative for those looking to steer clear of the political landscape.
With an 8-bit doge as its mascot, PlayDoge has a viral meme coin allure similar to heavy hitters like Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and Pepe.
However, this project differs because its primary purpose is a Play-to-Earn (P2E) game.
Itโs inspired by the iconic 1990s Tamagotchi game, where users would care for a virtual pet, ensuring it was happy and healthy so it did not run away or die.
The game was a huge hit, selling over 82 million units – but PlayDoge is upping the stakes with real crypto rewards on the line.
Users can earn $PLAY by engaging with their pets or completing minigames.
The caveat is that they must hold $PLAY to receive rewards. It can also be used for in-game purchases and staking.
So, in addition to meme coin-driven demand, PlayDoge has a P2E demand, which could prove significant given its exciting and nostalgic premise.
Sealana
Sealana is a great option for those wanting exposure to the Trump meta while avoiding the complications of more direct renditions.
The project has an overweight seal mascot and makes light of American patriotism. Its social media is filled with hilarious memes, many of which are related to Trump and the MAGA movement.
Sealana is native to Solana, a network known for its controversial meme coins, so itโs no wonder the project is proving popular.
Alongside its witty MAGA references, Sealana is inspired by South Parkโs โWorld of Warcraft guy.โ
Fittingly, its social media does not shy away from hot topics. For instance, one of its most recent posts shows Sealana driving over โsleepy Joeโ in a 4×4.
Sealana is currently undergoing a presale and has raised $4 million so far. However, the campaign ends in six days, and then it will be launched on exchanges.
Base Dawgz
Indeed, Sealanaโs edgy memetic antics are causing a stir. But this might not be everyoneโs cup of tea.
For those seeking a more โPGโ alternative, Base Dawgz could be the way to go. The project is a Base-native meme coin, and this has proved highly beneficial, with the network thriving recently.
Base Dawgz also has multichain functionality and is available on Ethereum, Solana, BSC, and Avalanche.
Other standout features are its staking mechanism and a refer-and-earn scheme, which provides users a 10% commission for referring others to the presale.
These features make Base Dawgz one of Baseโs hottest prospects.
And considering that Base is Coinbaseโs in-house blockchain, Base Dawgz is likely on the rader of the exchangeโs listing team.ย
The project is currently within its presale and has raised over $1.5 million so far.
