ONDO Price Eyes Breakout as Ondo Perps Launch Adds New Utility

The ONDO price has spent months frustrating impatient traders, but the latest ecosystem upgrade is giving the market something more tangible than speculation. The official launch of Ondo Perps introduces tokenized Real-World Assets (RWAs) as collateral for trading equity perpetuals with up to 20x leverage, backed by a $3 million rewards campaign and a $150,000 USDC launch-week incentive pool.

That’s a meaningful expansion of utility. The bigger question, though, is whether traders are ready to price it in.

Ondo Perps Brings Fresh Utility

The new platform marks the first time users can utilize tokenized RWAs as collateral for equity perpetual trading on the protocol. Alongside the infrastructure launch, the rewards campaign aims to attract liquidity and user participation.

Even so, the broader market hasn’t fully reacted yet. Instead of chasing headlines, price action has remained relatively disciplined, suggesting traders are waiting for stronger confirmation before assigning a higher valuation to the ecosystem.

Technical Structure Shows Buyers Still Defending

The ONDO price currently trades around $0.33309, sitting directly above an ascending trendline that has supported price action since February.

That same trendline successfully absorbed selling pressure during April’s consolidation and again in late June. After the sharp liquidity spike toward $0.47-$0.50 in mid-May, the market entered a healthy correction while continuing to defend the important $0.30 psychological level.

Meanwhile, short-term moving averages have flattened near the current price, indicating volatility compression rather than aggressive selling.

ONDO Price Faces Major Resistance Ahead

The immediate technical hurdle remains the 200-period EMA near $0.38. A decisive breakout above that level could shift momentum from consolidation toward expansion.

If buying demand strengthens following the Ondo Perps launch, technical projections point toward $0.55 as the next major resistance, followed by the broader $0.65-$0.70 liquidity zone.

For now, however, maintaining the long-term ascending trendline remains the key requirement. As long as that structure holds, the ONDO price continues building a foundation that could support a larger breakout if post-launch demand accelerates.
