The Litecoin price has spent most of 2026 in tight consolidation that has kept the levels within an accumulated range or dragged it lower. After spending months below the declining trendline, the price has finally broken above $70, bringing the next target at $85 back into focus. More than a 150% increase in trading volume and a market capitalisation climb to $5.5B have supported the rise, putting Litecoin among the top 20 cryptos. With the next major hurdle at $85, the question is whether LTC can reach $100 this month.
Litecoin spent most of 2026 consolidating below $60, with the correction dragging LTC toward the $40 area before the trend began to turn in mid-August. Since then, the recovery has accelerated, taking LTC above $60 and now through the descending trendline that had capped the broader recovery since the start of the year. The latest move above $70 therefore marks an important structural shift. A sustained weekly and monthly close above this level could strengthen the breakout and leave Litecoin better positioned for a larger move into the final quarter.
Adding more substance to the bullish setup, the weekly Supertrend has flipped bullish for the first time since March 2025. After remaining bearish for more than a year, the reversal signals a potential change in Litecoin’s broader trend structure. Meanwhile, the weekly RSI has climbed to 65.4, approaching the upper threshold of 70, leaving room for momentum to extend. Together, Supertrend and RSI point to strengthening bullish momentum, although LTC still faces a critical test at the $85 to $87 resistance zone before the broder reversal confirms.
The path to $100 highly depends on whether the recent surge can attract sustained buying rather than fading after the initial breakout. The move has been accompanied by a sharp increase in trading volume, while LTC’s market cap has climbed above $5.5 billion, pushing it back into the top 20 cryptos. The recent spike in network activity also adds a fundamental layer to the rally, suggesting that the renewed interest in LTC is not limited to the price chart.
The LTC price is required to clear the first major hurdle at $85, along with a substantial increase in buying pressure that may activate the higher targets, probably above $100. Failing that, the price could continue to consolidate around $90 until network participation rises.
