HYPE Price Nears ATH, Is It Time For It To Enter Price Discovery?

The HYPE price has climbed to $73.18, marking a 42% gain since August 1 and putting Hyperliquid’s native token within striking distance of its $76.82 all-time high. The latest push has benefitted from stronger Bitcoin sentiment, but HYPE is doing more than simply tagging along.

HYPE Price Rally Puts ATH Back Within Reach

Major altcoins have responded positively as Bitcoin’s recovery improved market sentiment, and HYPE has been one of the stronger performers. Rising trading activity on Hyperliquid is adding to that momentum, while social dominance, social volume, and weighted sentiment have all increased alongside the HYPE price.

That combination of metrics is difficult to let it slide because the market is talking about HYPE token price action again, and traders aren’t exactly hiding their optimism too.

Still, per daily chart analysis the $76.82 ATH level is where real argument begins. As reaching the ATH would be one thing; flipping it would be another. A clean breakout could push HYPE price into the price discovery phase, which is a much anticipated move that Hyperliquid investors in the community have been waiting for.

HYPE Price Technical Signals Look Strong But Overheated

The technical picture is largely supportive, as AO and MACD indicators are showing strong momentum in the price. This is clearly suggesting that the demand has been building as the price advances.

But RSI is already at 75.55. That’s overheated territory, and it raises the possibility of a pause or pullback before another attempt at the record high. Momentum can stay stretched for longer than bears expect, but it eventually needs buyers to keep showing up.

Bitcoin Rejection Could Quickly Change HYPE Outlook

The bigger risk is obvious. If Bitcoin loses momentum and faces rejection while HYPE fails to clear $76.82, the token could give back part of its recent advance.

In that scenario, the HYPE price could retreat toward the dynamically moving 200-day EMA band, currently around $51. For now, though, HYPE price remains one of the stronger large projects in the market, with improving sentiment, rising activity and a record high sitting just few dollars away.
