XRP News: Ripple’s RLUSD Powers $250K Grant Program for Veteran Employers

Ripple has announced a new initiative focussed at helping veteran- and military spouse-owned businesses grow. In partnership with Hire Heroes USA, the company is investing $250,000 through the Ripple Effect: Certified Veteran Employer Grants Program. Through this program, 25 businesses are selected to receive $10,000 each.
The program goes beyond financial support by giving recipients practical tools to expand their companies. It also creates more career opportunities for veterans and military families.
More Than Just Grant Money
Each winning business receives more than a cash award. Participants will also complete Hire Heroes USA’s Certified Veteran Employer training, which focuses on building workplaces that better support military-connected employees.
The selected businesses will gain access to employer resources, hiring guidance, and workforce development support. These resources are designed to help them recruit and retain veteran talent over the long term.
Direct Access to Military Talent
One of the standout benefits of the program is access to more than 20,000 military-connected job seekers. This is provided through Hire Heroes USA’s network.
Recipients can also participate in career fairs, receive employer spotlight opportunities, and work toward becoming officially recognized as a Certified Veteran Employer. These resources are intended to make hiring veterans easier while helping businesses expand their teams.
Supporting Businesses That Give Back
To qualify, companies must be at least 51% owned by a U.S. military veteran or military spouse and operate within the United States. They must also demonstrate plans to hire veterans or military spouses over the next 12 to 18 months.
The initiative is focused on small- and mid-sized businesses that are committed to creating meaningful employment opportunities within the military community.
Ripple’s Focus on Long-Term Impact
Ripple says the funding is powered through its RLUSD donation to Hire Heroes USA. This reflects its broader commitment to supporting communities beyond the blockchain industry.
Company representatives highlighted that veteran-owned businesses are an important source of innovation, leadership, and job creation. By combining financial assistance with hiring support and training, the program aims to help these businesses grow sustainably. This also strengthens employment opportunities for veterans and military spouses.
With more than 1.6 million veteran-owned businesses employing nearly 3.2 million people across the U.S., initiatives like this recognize the vital role veteran entrepreneurs play in local economies. Rather than offering one-time funding, Ripple and Hire Heroes USA are investing in long-term business growth and stronger hiring practices. These efforts also support workplaces that continue creating opportunities for the military community well into the future.
