XRP News: Ripple Partners With Arf to Bring RLUSD Settlement Liquidity to XRP Ledger

Story Highlights
  • Ripple has partnered with Arf to bring RLUSD-powered settlement liquidity to the XRP Ledger.

  • Arf will provide direct RLUSD settlement liquidity on XRPL, with funds typically repaid within one to five days.

  • Arf CEO Ali Erhat Nalbant said the partnership will bring stablecoin working capital to XRPL to help payment companies support more transactions.

Ripple, a blockchain payment solution, has partnered with Swiss-regulated payment platform Arf to bring RLUSD-powered funding to the XRP Ledger (XRPL). The partnership will help licensed payment companies access short-term funds for cross-border payments without keeping large amounts of money in accounts across different countries.

Arf and Ripple Join to Speed Up Cross-Border Payments

In a press release on October 22, 2026, Arf and Ripple announced a partnership to help payment companies access money when and where they need it.

Cross-border payments move trillions of dollars each year, but payment companies often need working capital available in different countries before transactions are completed. Traditional bank credit lines can take months to establish and may require significant collateral.

This creates a problem for companies that need funds available in the right market at the right time. Through the partnership, Arf and Ripple aim to address this gap using RLUSD and the XRP Ledger’s settlement network.

Jasmine Cooper, Head of Product for RippleX at Ripple, said that “Settlement liquidity is exactly the kind of use case XRPL and RLUSD are built to support.”

Under the first phase, Arf will provide short-term funding in Ripple USD (RLUSD) on the XRP Ledger. Licensed payment companies can use these funds to send money across borders and repay them once payments are complete, usually within one to five days.

Arf Brings $10B in Annual Settlements to XRPL

Arf payments platform has scaled to around $10 billion in annual global settlement volume since launching in November 2022. Its capital turns over about four times a month, allowing funds to support repeated payment flows rather than sit idle.

Ali Erhat Nalbant, Arf’s co-founder and CEO, said the partnership would bring stablecoin working capital to the XRP Ledger.

“We’re bringing stablecoin working capital to the XRP Ledger to help payment companies bridge that gap and support more payment volume.”

Arf Plans to Use XRPL’s Native Lending Infrastructure

The partnership could expand once the XRP Ledger’s native lending infrastructure becomes available. Arf plans to use the proposed Single Asset Vaults to pool capital and the Lending Protocol to support structured loans on-chain.

Arf would continue managing underwriting and working capital decisions off-chain, while the blockchain handles the lending infrastructure.

However, the proposed features must pass XRPL’s amendment process before they can launch on the main network.
