Pi Network News: Repeated 0.03 Pi Transfers Puzzle On-Chain Analysts

Pi Network is recording higher blockchain activity as Protocol 26.1 reaches completion, Node upgrades continue and distributed-computing trials progress. Pi, however, remains under pressure, leaving open the question of whether infrastructure progress can translate into stronger token demand.

In the meanwhile, recent updates point to expanding activity across the network, Nodes and application layer.

Repeated 0.03 Pi Transactions Draw Attention

Pi News reported that the blockchain explorer now displays token holdings and trading activity, giving users more visibility into ecosystem movements.

On-chain observer amrOnChain spotted repeated transfers of exactly 0.03 Pi between multiple accounts and one receiving address, with transactions appearing every few seconds.

Possible explanations include:

  • Load testing for Protocol 26.
  • Smart-contract payment trials.
  • Rewards for distributed-computing contributors.
  • New incentive-distribution testing.

No official explanation has been provided for the transfer pattern so far.

Protocol 26.1 Reaches Completion

Dr. Chengdiao Fan confirmed completion of the 26.1 upgrade, following Pi’s staged progression through versions 19.1, 19.6, 19.9, 20.2, 21.2, 22.1, 23.0, 24.1 and 25.2. Version 27.1 is next in the sequence.

Node release p26.1.0 updates Stellar Core to 26.1.0 and Horizon to 26.0.0. The process requires no data migration or reingestion. Operators have been instructed to complete each stage across the network before proceeding.

Nodes Move Toward Wider Utility

The Pi Core Team has released Node 0.6.2 with SoloHost and connectivity improvements. A distributed-computing trial has also been completed.

The operational mainnet application count has reached 82, bringing the ecosystem closer to the 100-app milestone.

Potential applications include VPN services, AI training through Pi Nodes and social-media platforms. Their future value will depend on actual deployment, user participation and transaction activity.

Pi Remains Under Pressure

According to One analyst, Pi is trading around $0.086, down roughly 5% over the past week, with the market yet to establish a clear bullish structure.

The key levels are:

  • Support: $0.084–$0.086
  • Downside: $0.0828
  • Resistance: $0.096–$0.100
  • Bullish confirmation: Sustained move above $0.10

The $0.084–$0.086 zone is the immediate test for buyers. Holding this area could allow PI to attempt another recovery, while a break below $0.084 could bring $0.0828 and recent lows back into focus.

For bulls, reclaiming $0.096 followed by a sustained move above $0.10 would weaken the current bearish setup and create room for a stronger recovery.
