What is Zebpay? 

Zebpay is a coin exchange with headquarters in Singapore. It was previously based in India but following India’s ban on cryptocurrency exchanges, Zebpay moved its operations. Zebpay operates in 132 countries and has been in the business of cryptocurrencies since 2014.

Zebpay was initially founded by Mahin Gupta, Saurabh Aggarwal, and Sandeep Goenka. It was the first global cryptocurrency exchange to support Lightning Network withdrawals. This means that Zebpay customers from around the world can use their respective BTC balances on their respective Zebpay wallets to make instant payments by utilizing the Lightning Network.

The platform has more than 3 million users globally and $2 Billion in fiat to crypto transactions, making it one of the bigger exchanges around.

Zebpay Features

  1.  Fees: Initially, there were trading fees imposed by Zebpay, but now it allows the traders to trade completely free i.e., no transaction fees are involved.
  2. Security: Zebpay has been incident-free since its inception. Apparently, around 98% of cryptos stored with Zebpay are in cold wallets that are signed using HSM on air-gapped machines that are located in different cities & countries.
  3. Mobile App: There is a Zebpay app that is offered on both Google Play and the iStore, free of charge. It allows you to carry out multiple transactions on the go.
  4. Free Bitcoins: The user can refer to Zebpay as well as can earn free bitcoins which are worth up to Rs 50,000.
  5.  Zebpay wallet: Zebpay Bitcoin wallet, helps you store almost 98% of the cryptos safely in the cold wallets. That means the coins are offline and secure. Zebpay wallets are secured using HSM (hardware security)

Zebpay Fees and Limits

Previously, Zebpay charged 0.25% for takers and 0.20% for makers. This was in line with the industry average which is arguably around 0.25% per order. However, today, the exchange does not charge any trading fees at all, i.e. 0.00% per order, regardless of which cryptocurrency you trade.

Zebpay does not charge any fiat deposit or withdrawal fees. Network withdrawal and deposit fees apply for cryptocurrency transfers. Zebpay charges membership fees of 0.0001 BTC or equivalent per month which comes to around Rs.60 per month based on present BTC prices.

Zebpay specifies a 0.4% trading fee for corporate and trust fund customers. It does not specify its fees for retail customers, but claims zero trading fees across the platform.

How to register on Zebpay?  

  1. Step 1:

    Visit the Zebpay Official page and Click on the ‘Sign Up’ button on the top right corner of the homepage.

  2. Step 2:

    Register by providing your name, mobile number, and email address.

  3. Step 3:

    Once you have entered the details, accept Zebpay’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and click on ‘Continue.’

  4. Step 4:

     Verify the mobile number using the OTP and PIN

  5. Step 5:

    Verify the email address by clicking the link provided.

How to recover the Zebpay password?  

In certain cases, to recover the Zebpay password, Go to the Zebpay login page and then click on the “Forgot Password” option. Then enter your personal information and user id after which you can reset your password.  

How to deposit on Zebpay?

  1. Step 1:

    Tap on “Deposit” on your ZebPay home screen, and then tap on “Netbanking”.

  2. Step 2:

    Enter the amount, select the payment partner, and tap on “Proceed to Deposit”.

  3. Step 3:

    Select your registered bank from the displayed banks on the screen or tap on “Choose your bank” to open the bank list.

  4. Step 4:

    Enter your net banking User ID and Password and proceed to make the payment.

  5. Step 5:

    Once the payment is successful, it may take up to 15 minutes for the amount to reflect into your ZebPay account and will be available for trade.

How to withdraw on Zebpay? 

  1. Step 1:

    Click on ‘Withdraw’ on your dashboard to get to the ‘Withdraw’ page.

  2. Step 2:

    Click on the arrow beside ‘Bank Withdraw.’

  3. Step 3:

    Enter the amount you would like to withdraw and click on ‘Proceed To Withdraw.’ You can either directly type the amount or use the buttons given below.

  4. Step 4:

    Check your registered bank details and select OK.

  5. Step 5:

    Enter your 4-digit PIN to confirm the transaction.

  6. Step 6:

    Now, You will be redirected to the Withdrawal screen and will receive a pop-up confirming your transaction.
