Zcash will activate its Ironwood network upgrade at block height 3,428,143 on July 28. The upgrade introduces a new shielded pool with quantum-recoverable notes and a turnstile mechanism to strengthen verification of the ZEC supply. The changes are designed to address concerns over a potential counterfeiting vulnerability in the legacy Orchard shielded pool and improve the network’s long-term security.
