SpaceX And Anthropic Unlocks Could Squeeze Bitcoin Before A Rebound

The next big pressure on Bitcoin may come from AI stocks rather than politics, according to BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes. Hayes warned that large share unlocks at SpaceX and Anthropic, expected by mid-2027, could flood the market with new equity. He estimated SpaceX faces about 50% dilution and Anthropic as much as 83%. That supply could push AI share prices lower and raise borrowing costs for companies building data centres. Hayes said tighter credit would slow bank lending and reduce the flow of dollars through the financial system, weighing on Bitcoin in the near term. He also argued that the strain could eventually force central banks to step in with fresh liquidity, which would favour scarce assets like Bitcoin. Hayes suggested watching AI credit spreads, corporate borrowing costs and bank balance sheets for early signs.
