Morgan Stanley Launches Digital Asset Lab to Test Stablecoins and DeFi

Morgan Stanley has established a Digital Asset Lab to test blockchain applications including stablecoins, tokenization and DeFi. Bloomberg reported that the lab will also explore tokenized deposits, CBDCs, money-market funds and DeFi vaults. The initiative is part of Morgan Stanley’s existing innovation lab network and allows employees to test emerging technologies separately from core systems. The bank has also expanded its crypto offering through E*TRADE and launched investment products linked to Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana.
