Intel Stock Price Jumps 8% On PC Chip Price Hike Plans

Intel shares climbed 8% after the company said it would raise PC processor prices by about 10% starting in early October, choosing to protect margins rather than chase market share on volume. The rally got extra support from two other developments. Intel hit a milestone of 1 million wafers processed using ASML’s next-generation High-NA EUV machines, and analyst firm Northland bumped the stock up to an “Outperform” rating. Intel is also in the middle of raising $20 billion in fresh equity at $95 a share to help pay for its AI chip and foundry expansion plans. The stock has now more than doubled and a half this year, up over 160%, making it one of Wall Street’s standout comeback stories.
