Binance US plans to apply to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) next month for a Designated Contract Market (DCM) license, aiming to launch prediction markets for its customers. CEO Stevie Satoshi said the initiative is part of the exchange’s broader growth strategy, which includes lower trading fees and expanding beyond spot trading into products such as prediction markets and crypto perpetual futures.
