Coldcard Hack Sparks Biggest Small BTC Transfers Since FTX Collapse

Bitcoin transfers of less than 1 BTC have surged to their highest level since the FTX collapse, according to CryptoQuant, following the suspected Coldcard wallet hack. Around 39,600 BTC moved in small transactions on July 31, approaching the levels seen during the 2022 FTX crisis. Galaxy Research estimates the attack has compromised approximately 1,367 BTC across 4,585 addresses, and users of affected Coldcard wallets have been urged to generate new wallet seeds and transfer their funds immediately.
