Bitcoin, Ethereum Options Worth $1.75B Expire

Options contracts tied to Bitcoin and Ethereum worth about $1.75 billion expired today, a move that could increase short-term market volatility. Around 23,000 Bitcoin options, valued at $1.5 billion, expired with a put-call ratio of 0.97 and a maximum pain price of $62,000. Meanwhile, roughly 140,000 Ethereum options, worth $250 million, also expired, carrying a put-call ratio of 1.26 and a maximum pain price of $1,700. Traders are now watching for sharper price swings following the expiry.
