Bank of Russia Adds Crypto to Financial Resilience Calculations

The Bank of Russia has proposed adding cryptocurrencies to the assets used to calculate financial resilience ratios for brokers, trustees, forex dealers and crypto exchange offices. Under the draft rules, only exchange-traded cryptocurrencies would qualify, with their value capped at 25% of the assets included in the calculation. The proposal is currently open for regulatory-impact review.
