Asian stocks fell sharply on Wednesday as rising bond yields, higher oil prices and renewed pressure on semiconductor shares hit investor sentiment. South Korea’s KOSPI dropped 5.7%, while Japan’s Nikkei fell 3.2%. Higher U.S. and Asian bond yields are raising borrowing costs and putting pressure on stock valuations. At the same time, oil prices have climbed as hopes for a U.S.-Iran deal fade, adding to inflation concerns.
