The SOL price is back in focus as institutional adoption and on-chain activity arrive together instead of weeks apart. Morgan Stanley has launched the MSOL exchange-traded product (ETP) on NYSE Arca, while Solana continues to strengthen its position across decentralized trading and tokenized assets.
Morgan Stanley noted that its first crypto ETP attracted $381 million within months. Now, SOL joins the firm’s $14 billion product suite through MSOL, a staked ETP that passes all staking rewards directly to investors.
The latest listing marks another step in Solana’s growing institutional footprint. Rather than simply offering exposure, the MSOL product incorporates staking, allowing investors to receive staking rewards while holding the ETP. That places Solana alongside a much broader institutional digital asset offering managed by
morgan stanley
Meanwhile, another ecosystem milestone arrived as Strategy’s ($MSTR) exposure became available on Solana through Sunrise, issued by Backpack Securities, expanding tokenized financial products within the network.
Institutional news wasn’t the only headline. According to SolanaFloor, Solana has surpassed Bybit, Coinbase, and Kraken in weekly DEX spot trading volume for the fourth consecutive week, ranking second only to Binance. The achievement suggests decentralized trading activity on Solana continues gaining momentum despite broader market uncertainty.
For an ecosystem already known for high throughput, sustained DEX dominance adds another fundamental data point supporting network usage.
The SOL price is currently trading around $74.31, with buyers attempting to reclaim the $76 level, which aligns with the 50-day EMA.
If bulls successfully flip that resistance into support, the next upside targets stand near $92.46 and $97.37. However, continued rejection from the 50-day EMA could expose SOL price to lower support levels around $70 and $64.
With institutional products expanding, decentralized activity remaining strong, and new tokenized assets arriving on-chain, Solana’s ecosystem continues adding catalysts. Whether price follows through now depends on whether buyers can reclaim the technical barrier directly overhead.
