ONDO price is once again leading discussions across the real-world asset (RWA) sector after institutional investors significantly increased their exposure to the token. A $55 million ONDO purchase by 21Shares has coincided with improving market structure, bringing the cryptocurrency within striking distance of a critical breakout level. As buying interest strengthens and tokenisation adoption accelerates, investors are now watching whether ONDO can convert growing institutional confidence into a sustained price rally.
Fresh institutional accumulation has become the latest catalyst supporting ONDO’s recovery. According to blockchain data, 21Shares purchased 12.776 million ONDO tokens, valued at approximately $55.14 million, from OKX. The acquisition ranks among the largest institutional ONDO purchases in recent weeks and highlights continued confidence from traditional investment firms in the tokenisation market. The real-world asset sector has emerged as one of crypto’s strongest long-term growth themes, with global financial institutions increasingly exploring tokenised bonds, treasuries and other regulated financial products. Ondo Finance has positioned itself at the centre of that transition through its tokenised Treasury offerings and institutional-focused infrastructure.
Market sentiment also received an additional boost following renewed discussions around comments made during the Ondo Summit, where BlackRock’s Samara Cohen described Ondo’s tokenisation framework as the industry’s “gold standard.” While the remarks do not represent a strategic partnership or investment, they reinforce Ondo’s growing credibility among traditional financial institutions.
Taken together, institutional accumulation and improving confidence in the RWA narrative have strengthened the fundamental backdrop supporting ONDO’s latest recovery.
Beyond the improving fundamentals, ONDO price is approaching one of its most important technical levels in months. Ondo token has successfully broken above a descending trendline that has capped every recovery attempt since May, signaling that bearish momentum is beginning to fade. Buyers have also continued defending higher lows, while ONDO remains comfortably above its 20-day, 50-day and 100-day exponential moving averages, reflecting improving market structure.
Attention now shifts to the $0.45-$0.46 resistance zone, where multiple rallies have previously stalled. A decisive daily close above this level would invalidate the broader lower-high pattern that has defined ONDO’s price action for much of the second quarter and could trigger a fresh wave of momentum buying. If bulls reclaim $0.46, Ondo price could quickly challenge the psychological $0.50 level. A sustained move above that barrier would expose $0.58, the next major resistance where sellers are likely to re-enter the market.
On the downside, the former breakout trendline near $0.38 now acts as immediate support. As long as ONDO continues holding above this level, the current bullish structure remains intact despite the possibility of short-term consolidation.
Institutional buying is beginning to align with an improving technical setup, creating a constructive outlook for ONDO. While the $55 million accumulation by 21Shares has strengthened confidence in the token’s long-term fundamentals, the next decisive move will depend on whether buyers can overcome the $0.46 resistance zone. A confirmed breakout would reinforce the bullish trend and shift focus toward $0.50 and $0.58, while continued institutional participation could provide the momentum needed to sustain the rally.
