Ethereum Price Today: Arthur Hayes Re-Enters as ETF Demand Hits 2026 High

Ethereum price today is drawing renewed attention as institutional money returns to the market. Spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $365 million in net inflows during July, their strongest monthly performance of 2026, while BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes surprised traders by buying back 1,337 ETH worth $2.5 million just days after exiting his previous position. The dual wave of ETF demand and whale accumulation has strengthened bullish sentiment, raising one key question: Is Ethereum preparing for its next breakout?

ETF Demand Hits 2026 High as Arthur Hayes Turns Bullish Again

Institutional appetite for Ethereum continues to strengthen despite recent market volatility. According to the latest ETF flow data, Spot Ethereum ETFs recorded approximately $365 million in net inflows during July, making it the strongest month of institutional buying this year. The sustained inflows suggest that large asset managers continue increasing exposure to Ethereum as the network expands its presence across tokenized real-world assets, stablecoins, and decentralized finance.

Adding to the bullish narrative, on-chain data revealed that Arthur Hayes purchased 1,337 ETH by swapping roughly $2.5 million in USDC only two days after selling his previous holdings. The quick reversal indicates that the former BitMEX CEO viewed Ethereum’s recent weakness as an opportunity to re-enter rather than a signal of a prolonged correction.

Together, strong ETF demand and strategic whale buying are reinforcing confidence that institutional investors remain constructive on Ethereum’s medium-term outlook.

Ethereum Price Analysis: Can Bulls Reclaim $2,000?

Ethereum price continues to trade above a critical support region after completing a bullish double-bottom reversal in July. Although buyers successfully reclaimed the $1,850 support, the rally has slowed just below the major resistance around $1,950, where sellers have repeatedly rejected higher prices. This zone also aligns with previous horizontal resistance, making it the most important level for bulls to overcome.

Ethereum remains above its short-term moving averages while the RSI holds above the neutral 50 mark, indicating bullish momentum is still intact despite the recent consolidation. If buyers successfully clear $1,950, Ethereum could quickly extend its recovery toward the $2,150-$2,200 region, where the 200-day EMA and historical supply converge. However, failure to defend $1,850 would weaken the current bullish structure and expose ETH to another pullback toward the $1,700-$1,750 demand zone.

Final Words

Ethereum’s latest recovery is being driven by more than price momentum. Record ETF inflows, Arthur Hayes’ renewed accumulation, and continued institutional participation point to improving confidence in ETH’s long-term outlook. While short-term volatility around the $1,950 resistance is likely, sustained buying pressure could eventually trigger a breakout toward $2,200. As long as Ethereum continues holding above $1,850, the broader recovery structure remains favorable for the bulls.
