Top Reasons Why the Arbitrum (ARB) Price is Rising Today-Can it Hold the Bullish Momentum?

Arbitrum’s price is showing signs of renewed bullish momentum, with the token rebounding sharply from its multi-month lows. The latest move has been accompanied by a notable rise in derivatives, suggesting traders are opening fresh positions as ARB attempts to extend its recovery. The sudden recovery to $0.11 has caught the traders’ attention, as the token has been struggling to gain momentum in the past few months. Hence, the question now arises: will the bullish momentum continue?

Why is the Arbitrum (ARB) Price Rising Today?

The ARB price has gained significant strength, rising by more than 30% in the past 24 hours, reaching $0.11. The rally has also been accompanied by a sharp rise in trading activity, with the volume rising by more than 586%. As the token has gained enough market attention, here are the top catalysts that fueled the price surge.

Robinhood Chain is Boosting the Arbitrum Ecosystem

The biggest catalyst behind today’s rally appears to be the growing activity on Robinhood Chain, which is built using Arbitrum Orbit technology. The Chain recently recorded a sharp increase in transactions, DEX activity and network revenue. The chain has generated more than $1M in fees in the past 24 hours. Moreover, Robinhood Chain operates under Arbitrum’s revenue-sharing model, sending 10% of its protocol revenue to the broader Arbitrum ecosystem.

ArbOS Elara Strengthens Arbitrum’s Infrastructure Narrative

Arbitrum recently activated the ArbBOS Elara upgrade, introducing improvements to Arbitrum One and Arbitrum-powered dedicated chains. Elara introduces protocol-level compliance filtering and customizable priority fees for dedicated blockchains. It also improves Arbitrum One through a more efficient base-fee tuning process and a significant increase in Stylus smart-contract capacity.

Rise in Derivatives Brings $0.12 Target Back in Focus

The ARB price chart shows a clear shift in momentum after several months of consolidation. The price has rebounded from the $0.07 to $0.075 support zone and has now broken above the rising trendline and is approaching its first major resistance at $0.12. A decisive daily close above $0.12 could strengthen the bullish setup and expose the next resistance levels above $0.14.

As seen in the above chart, the open interest has surged to around $88.1 million, suggesting fresh positions are entering the market. The funding rate has also turned more positive, indicating a growing preference for long positions. On the other hand, the chart also shows larger short liquidations, suggesting the recent upswing was fueled by closing these short positions. For now, the ARB price structure remains bullish, but $0.12 is the key level to watch.

Is the ARB Price Rally Sustainable?

ARB’s price rally looks promising, but sustaining the rally could be challenging after such a sharp move. Arbitrum is scheduled for another major token unlock on September 23, 2026, with around 139 million ARB expected to enter circulation. This represents roughly 1.4% of the total supply and could create selling pressure if investors choose to take profits. Moreover, rising open interest and a positive funding rate could also make ARB vulnerable to a sharp pullback if the price fails to hold its breakout.

Overall, ARB’s outlook has improved, but the rally needs confirmation. The upcoming token unlock and elevated leverage remain the biggest near-term risks.
