Top Reasons Why Cardano (ADA) Price Eyes a Breakout—Can it Reach $0.30?

After plunging from nearly $0.23 to $0.155, the Cardano (ADA) price has gradually regained momentum, with price volatility picking up over the past few sessions. While the recovery has been measured rather than explosive, the steady climb suggests renewed buying interest in the token. Notably, whale wallets have continued to accumulate ADA alongside growing network activity, reinforcing optimism that a bullish breakout could be on the horizon.

Although ADA remains trapped within a consolidation pattern, both technical indicators and on-chain fundamentals suggest the crypto may be gearing up for its next decisive move.

Cardano Whales Increase ADA Holdings

Large investors appear to be positioning for a potential recovery, even as Cardano continues to trade below a key resistance level. According to Santiment data shared by analyst Ali Martinez, wallets holding between 1 million and 10 million ADA have steadily increased their holdings over the past two weeks, with their combined balance rising from approximately 5.63 billion ADA to 5.69 billion ADA.

The sustained accumulation suggests that whales are taking advantage of ADA’s recent consolidation phase to increase their exposure rather than reduce it. Such buying activity from large holders is often viewed as a sign of growing confidence in an asset’s medium- to long-term outlook, as whale wallets typically accumulate during periods of uncertainty before stronger directional moves.

Cardano Network Activity Rebounds as Daily Active Users Surge

Beyond whale accumulation, Cardano’s on-chain activity has also shown signs of recovery. According to Token Terminal data, the number of daily active users on the network climbed to 15,100, nearly doubling from around 7,800 recorded earlier this month. The sharp increase suggests that more users are interacting with the blockchain through transactions, staking, decentralized applications, or other ecosystem activities.

The rebound in network activity also complements the recent accumulation by large holders. While whales continue to increase their ADA holdings, the rise in active users indicates that retail and broader ecosystem participation are also strengthening. If this trend persists, improving on-chain fundamentals could provide additional support for Cardano’s ongoing recovery and increase the likelihood of a breakout above the current consolidation range.

ADA Price Stuck Within a Decisive Consolidation

Cardano traded around $0.175 at the time of writing, continuing to consolidate within a diamond-shaped pattern after rebounding from its June lows. The formation reflects a period of indecision, with buyers and sellers struggling for control as price compresses toward the pattern’s apex. A decisive move beyond either boundary could determine ADA’s next short-term trend.

The RSI is incremental, suggesting the bullish momentum is gradually strengthening, although it has yet to enter overbought territory. A successful breakout above the triangle’s upper boundary of the pattern could pave the way for a retest of the $0.19 resistance. Moreover, a daily close above this barrier may attract additional buying interest, potentially opening the door for a move toward the psychological mark at $0.2.

On the downside, failure to break higher could push the token towards the support around $0.16, with a deeper decline exposing the $0.14 support zone.

Cardano Price Prediction 2026: Can ADA Reach $0.3?

Cardano’s recent price recovery is being supported by improving on-chain fundamentals rather than speculative momentum alone. Whale wallets have continued to accumulate ADA during the consolidation phase, while daily active users have climbed sharply, pointing to growing network participation and renewed investor confidence. Alongside this, the platform has ranked 6th in core development activity and has left behind Solana & Stellar.

From a technical perspective, ADA remains at a crucial turning point, and a breakout above this barrier could validate the bullish signals emerging from on-chain data. As both technical and fundamental indicators begin to align, the next few trading sessions could prove pivotal in determining Cardano’s short-term direction.
