NEAR Protocol Price Surges 80% in a Week: Can the Breakout Push NEAR Toward $5?

Published by

NEAR Protocol has delivered a sharp breakout rally amid the broader crypto market rally, climbing from nearly $2.20 to around $4.20 in seven days. The rally has pushed NEAR above a major resistance structure that had capped previous recovery attempts, bringing the token to a critical phase. With NEAR price approaching the $4.10–$4.40 supply zone, traders are watching whether buyers can sustain the breakout or whether the sharp rally triggers a short-term pullback.

NEAR Ecosystem Catalyst Adds Momentum

The recent NEAR price rally has coincided with growing attention around NEAR Protocol which has been promoted as a confidential perpetual futures trading feature powered by Hyperliquid. The product allows users to open positions without publicly linking trades to their accounts, according to the recent market data.

This development has increased discussion around NEAR’s privacy-focused trading infrastructure. However, the sustainability of the token’s rally will depend on whether the increased attention translates into persistent network activity, liquidity and demand rather than short-term speculative buying.

NEAR Protocol Price Prediction: Can NEAR Price Reach $5 Next?

NEAR Protocol has surged from around $2.20 to above $4.00, with the latest weekly candle breaking through a multi-year descending trendline and the $3.30–$3.50 resistance zone. The sharp move, supported by a visible increase in trading volume, marks a significant shift from the token’s prolonged downtrend. NEAR is now trading near $4.18, directly below the $4.20–$4.40 supply zone, where the breakout faces its next test.

A sustained weekly close above this region could extend the recovery toward $4.80–$5.00. However, after such an aggressive rally, a retest of the $3.30–$3.50 breakout zone remains possible before the next directional move.

Final Words

NEAR Protocol’s recent rally marks a major technical shift, with the token breaking above a multi-year descending trendline after an extended period of weakness. The move has been supported by renewed ecosystem attention, including confidential perpetual futures trading and growing activity around NEAR Intents. However, the sharp price increase also raises the risk of short-term profit booking. Holding the $3.30–$3.50 breakout zone would keep the recovery structure intact, while a sustained move above $4.40 could bring $5 into focus. The broader trend reversal will depend on whether NEAR converts its breakout into sustained demand and network adoption.
