ICP Price Climbs 8% From Support: Is the Long-Awaited Trendline Break Here?

Internet Computer (ICP) is showing its first meaningful signs of strength after months of pressure. The token has recovered more than 8% from the recent support zone around $2.00–$2.10, with price now trading near $2.22. The rebound is becoming more interesting because ICP is approaching the descending trendline that has capped multiple recovery attempts.

A decisive break above this resistance could turn the current bounce into a broader recovery, while another rejection would leave the token trapped in its larger downtrend.

The key question now is simple: Can ICP finally break the trendline and unlock the next leg higher?

ICP Price Analysis: The Breakout Setup Is Taking Shape

On the daily chart, ICP token shows a clear shift in momentum after it found buyers around the $2.00–$2.10 support zone. From that base, the token has climbed more than 8% and reclaimed the $2.20 region. More importantly, ICP price is now pressing against a descending trendline extending from the previous major highs. This trendline has repeatedly forced lower highs, making it the most important technical barrier for the current recovery.

A daily close above the trendline, particularly with stronger trading volume, would provide the first serious confirmation that the bearish structure is weakening. The immediate upside target would then sit around $2.40, representing roughly 8% upside from the current $2.22 level.

A sustained move above that area could bring the next major resistance near $2.60–$2.65, where the longer-term moving averages currently converge. That would put the potential upside near 19% from current levels. If momentum accelerates beyond that resistance, $3.00 becomes the next psychological target, offering approximately 35% upside from $2.22.

Why the $2.20–$2.40 Zone Matters

ICP’s recovery is encouraging, but the move is not yet a confirmed trend reversal. The $2.20 area has become the first important level to defend after the rebound. Holding above it would keep the short-term bullish structure intact. Below that, the $2.10–$2.00 zone remains the critical demand area. A break back below this support would weaken the recovery thesis and could expose ICP to another retest of its lows.

On the upside, $2.32 is an important intermediate barrier, followed by the descending trendline around the $2.40 area. Clearing both would significantly improve the technical picture. The longer-term moving averages also show why the breakout matters. ICP remains below the higher resistance cluster around $2.60–$2.65, meaning bulls need to clear that zone to establish a stronger medium-term reversal.

Outlook: Breakout or Another Rejection?

ICP is now at a potentially decisive point. A sustained break above the descending trendline could shift attention toward $2.40, followed by $2.60–$2.65. If buying pressure remains strong above the latter zone, the recovery could extend toward $3.00, putting the token roughly 35% above its current level.

But failure to break the trendline would keep ICP inside its broader bearish structure. In that scenario, $2.20 becomes the first level to watch, while a deeper rejection could send the price back toward the $2.00–$2.10 support zone.
