Hyperliquid Unveils HIP-4 Outcome Markets as HYPE Price Holds Key Support: Is a Breakout on the Horizon?

Hyperliquid price traded around $60.8 at the time of writing, slipping roughly 1% over the past 24 hours as trading volume eased to approximately $240 million. Despite the modest pullback, the token continued to hold above a key support zone while attracting renewed attention after Hyperliquid unveiled HIP-4 Outcome Markets, its latest ecosystem initiative. As the market digests the announcement, traders are watching whether the development can provide the catalyst HYPE needs to regain bullish momentum.

Why Is Hyperliquid’s HIP-4 Announcement Important?

Hyperliquid’s latest HIP-4 Outcome Markets proposal marks another step in the protocol’s expansion beyond perpetual futures. The initiative is designed to support permissionless outcome market deployment, allowing builders to launch prediction markets on the network once the feature goes live.

Under the proposal, developers will be required to stake 500,000 HYPE to deploy markets, aligning incentives while discouraging low-quality or inaccurate market creation. The protocol also includes a slashing mechanism for poorly defined markets and offers deployers a share of trading fees, creating an incentive to build and maintain active markets.

The update broadens HYPE’s utility by introducing an additional staking use case while positioning Hyperliquid to compete in the growing prediction markets sector. If adoption increases, the proposal could strengthen long-term demand for HYPE and further expand the protocol’s ecosystem.

HYPE Price Consolidates Above Support as Bulls Seek Momentum

After a strong rally earlier this month, HYPE appears to be taking a breather rather than showing signs of a trend reversal. The token continues to hold above a rising trendline, indicating that buyers are still stepping in on dips and keeping the broader uptrend intact.

However, volume has been in decline over the past few sessions, which suggests a drop in participation of both buyers and sellers. This kind of consolidation often leads to a sharp breakout once fresh momentum returns.

Open Interest has gradually declined following HYPE’s recent rally, indicating that leveraged traders have reduced their exposure. While this reflects cooling speculative activity, RSI has also been declining. It means the market has become less crowded, leaving room for fresh positions to be built if sentiment improves.

From a technical standpoint, the immediate hurdle remains the descending resistance trendline around $67. A decisive break above this level could signal that buyers have regained control, potentially paving the way for a move toward the $75–$76 supply zone.

Can Hyperliquid’s Price Reclaim $75?

Hyperliquid’s HIP-4 Outcome Markets’ proposal marks another step in the protocol’s efforts to expand beyond perpetual futures. While the long-term implications will depend on developer adoption, the announcement has reinforced investor interest in the project. With HIP-4 introducing a potential new use case for HYPE, the market now has a fresh catalyst to watch. If buying volume returns and HYPE reclaims $67, bulls could target the $75–$76 supply zone. Until then, the token is likely to remain in consolidation, with the $60 support serving as the key level that could determine its next major move.
