Can RIF Price Rally Continue After 70% Surge? Rootstock’s Bitcoin DeFi Growth Fuels Optimism

Published by

RIF price grabbed traders’ attention after surging more than 70% in a single day, following Rootstock Infrastructure’s latest ecosystem update highlighting years of uninterrupted network operations and expanding Bitcoin DeFi adoption.

The move wasn’t triggered by a new token listing or incentive program. Instead, Rootstock showcased a series of operational milestones that underline how its Bitcoin-secured infrastructure has evolved since launch. Whether the rally proves sustainable now depends on whether ecosystem adoption continues translating into market demand.

Rootstock Highlights Years Of Network Stability

According to Rootstock Infrastructure, the network has operated without interruption for more than 3,100 days since January 2018.

During that period, the ecosystem processed nearly 21 million transactions, secured over 84% of Bitcoin’s hashrate, accumulated more than $44 million in tokenized real-world assets, and currently represents over 40% of total Bitcoin DeFi TVL.

The network also reported 118 tokenized real-world assets, 200+ ecosystem partners, zero network security breaches, zero funds lost through the PowPeg, while maintaining 100% uptime, 26-second average block times, full EVM compatibility, and 1:1 BTC-backed rBTC.

Collectively, those metrics reinforce Rootstock’s position as one of the larger infrastructure layers focused on expanding Bitcoin-native decentralized finance.

Bitcoin DeFi Adoption Remains The Bigger Story

While short-term price rallies often fade quickly, infrastructure metrics tend to attract longer-term attention.

Rootstock’s latest figures suggest activity continues extending beyond simple token speculation into areas including Bitcoin DeFi, tokenized real-world assets, and Ethereum-compatible application development.

For investors, the update offers another indication that BTCFi infrastructure continues maturing as more assets and applications migrate on-chain.

RIF Price Faces Important Technical Test

On the weekly chart, RIF price appears to be following a long-term ascending trendline that previously supported major rallies during 2020-2021 and again throughout 2023-2024.

If buying momentum persists and historical price behavior repeats, the current recovery could extend toward higher resistance levels over the coming months, with $0.30 emerging as a longer-term technical objective for traders and investors.

However, historical patterns don’t guarantee future performance. If momentum weakens and demand fades, RIF price could revisit support around $0.040, potentially extending its broader consolidation before establishing a clearer trend.
