Bitcoin SV has emerged as one of the stronger performers this week, with BSV price gaining about 13% and climbing to around $14.66. The rally has pushed the token above a descending trendline that had capped its recovery for months, putting bulls back in control of the near-term structure. However, BSV is now approaching a major resistance cluster near $15.40. If buyers clear this barrier, could the latest breakout turn into a larger move toward the $18 mark?
The latest BSV rally comes after an extended period of consolidation between roughly $11 and $15. That base-building phase allowed selling pressure to ease before buyers gradually pushed the token toward the upper end of the range. The decisive shift came as BSV moved above its descending trendline, which had connected a series of lower highs since the May recovery peak.
The breakout has attracted fresh momentum and lifted price above its short-term moving averages. BSV’s broader network narrative has also remained relevant, particularly around payments, scaling and continued development of its blockchain infrastructure. But for the current move, the chart is showing the clearest signal: buyers are returning after a prolonged period of compression.
BSV is trading near $14.66, with the daily chart showing a clear improvement in momentum after the trendline breakout. The 20-day EMA sits around $13.71, while the 50-day EMA is near $13.48, giving bulls a stronger support base beneath the current price. The daily RSI is around 67, reflecting strong buying momentum and placing the indicator close to overbought territory, although it has not yet reached an extreme level.
The immediate battle is now concentrated around $15.30–$18.00. This zone has repeatedly acted as a major barrier and also sits close to the longer-term moving-average resistance visible on the chart. BSV price needs a sustained close above $15.40 to confirm that the trendline breakout has developed into a broader bullish reversal. If that happens, the next major target sits at $17.50–$20; rejection would put $13.70–$13.50 back in focus as the first support zone.
A successful breakout-and-retest of $15.40 would significantly strengthen the setup. Conversely, slipping back below the broken trendline would raise the risk of a failed breakout.
