Truthlabs, a blockchain forensics analyst has shared some secret ties that have been found linking important events and people in the cryptocurrency world. They found links between Mt. Gox’s Special Task Force, the mysterious Blockchain Bandit, and the Ethereum Foundation, suggesting things might not be as straightforward as they seem.

Ethereum’s Secrets Ties

According to Truthlabs, the investigation reveals that the same group involved in investigating the Mt. Gox scandal—linked to framing Ross Ulbricht—are among the largest holders of Ethereum. They’ve traced Ethereum wallets back to early phishing attacks, which were used to move large sums of ether, including funding over half of vDice’s ICO, a project associated with crypto figure Erik Voorhees.

The plot thickens as funds from the vDice ICO were tracked to Yobit and then to the notorious Blockchain Bandit wallet, known for its long history of stealing private keys. From there, the stolen ether found its way to Erik Voorhees’ Shapeshift exchange.

Shining Light on Scams

Additionally, Truthlabs uncovered a potential scam involving tens of millions of dollars disappearing from CoinRail, with funds passing through a wallet linked to Voorhees’ company. They also uncovered a con artist exploiting the same dubious wallets to profit from creating digital collectibles. All these ties circle back to the Ethereum Foundation, raising concerns about the Foundation’s integrity.

Gatecoin Hack and Foundation Connections

Digging deeper, Truthlabs found a connection between the Gatecoin hack and the Ethereum Foundation’s main wallet. They suspect that the Foundation’s wallet either funded the hackers or was complicit in the hacking activities.

The investigation suggests broader networks at play, implicating well-known figures like Mike Novogratz and the financier behind the Blockchain Bandit.

The plot thickens…! Stay tuned for further developments in this crypto saga.
