Why is Crypto Down Right Now?

Published by

The crypto market fell 2.9% over the past 24 hours, reducing its total value to $2.16 trillion, as Bitcoin led a broad selloff and more than $670 million in leveraged positions were liquidated. Investors turned cautious amid uncertainty surrounding the U.S. Clarity Act and ahead of the Federal Reserve’s July 29 interest rate decision. Rising derivatives activity also amplified losses as traders unwound leveraged positions. Markets are now watching whether the total crypto market can hold support near $2.15 trillion or extend its decline.
