Former SEC Chair Gary Gensler has returned to MIT, where he previously taught and worked on fintech and digital currency projects. Before joining the SEC, he was a professor at MIT, co-led FinTech@CSAIL, and advised the MIT Media Lab’s Digital Currency Initiative. He also won the MIT Sloan Outstanding Teacher Award in 2018-19. Gensler shared his excitement about working again with MIT’s experts in AI, finance, and technology.
