
Coinbase’s Head of Platform, Rob Witoff, said 95% to 100% of the company’s code is now written by or with the assistance of AI, up from about 40% in February, according to a Cointelegraph interview. He said nearly all employees use AI daily, with engineers typically running 5 to 10 AI agents at a time, collectively performing coding work equivalent to about 1,200 employees. Coinbase expects AI capabilities to expand further, with AI agents potentially handling work equivalent to 100,000 employees by 2030.
