It is registered with the SEC, CFTC, and NFA, and requires user approval before taking action. Coinbase also launched Coinbase for Agents, allowing third-party AI systems to trade and make payments within user-defined limits. The company plans to expand AI-driven financial automation through its “agentic finance” platform.
