Bitcoin price today has surged above $76,000, extending a sharp four-day rally from around $62,700. The move has pushed BTC roughly 22% higher, while a wave of forced short closures has amplified the gains. Recent data shows crypto short liquidations reached record levels, with more than $3.8 billion wiped out over two days. The rally was not without catalysts, however. U.S. Treasury bond buybacks, stronger Bitcoin ETF demand and improving crypto regulatory sentiment helped trigger the initial breakout before short covering accelerated the move.
