ZRO price has entered a strong recovery phase after months of weakness, with the token now trading above $2 and approaching its next major resistance. The sharp move has pushed ZRO well above its key moving averages and changed the short-term market structure. Fresh token buybacks are adding another layer to the rally, while LayerZero’s expanding infrastructure could provide longer-term demand. The key question is whether buyers can sustain the momentum as ZRO approaches the next major resistance zone.
LayerZero’s latest token purchase has strengthened the bullish narrative around ZRO. The protocol has bought another 162,000 ZRO worth approximately $347,000, taking cumulative open-market purchases to roughly 2.538 million ZRO, valued at around $5.4 million at current prices.
The buyback mechanism connects activity across the LayerZero ecosystem with recurring demand for ZRO. Revenue generated through the ecosystem is being directed toward token purchases, creating a potential demand floor as network activity expands.
The buybacks also come as LayerZero continues developing its broader infrastructure, giving the token a stronger fundamental narrative alongside the recent price breakout.
ZRO token has made a sharp structural recovery from the $0.80–$1.00 region, reclaiming $1.20, $1.35 and $1.65 before accelerating through $2. The token is now trading around $2.13–$2.16, with $2.20 emerging as the immediate resistance zone. A clean move above this level would strengthen the current breakout and bring the $3.00 area into focus.
Momentum, however, is becoming stretched. Weekly RSI is approaching 68, reflecting strong buying pressure but also increasing the risk of short-term consolidation after the rapid advance. If buyers establish $2.20 as support, the recovery could extend toward $2.50. A rejection would likely bring the recent breakout zone around $1.90–$2.00 back into focus.
The ZRO price rally is also unfolding as LayerZero expands its infrastructure beyond traditional cross-chain messaging. Its ATLAS platform is designed to provide matching, clearing, settlement and risk-management infrastructure for institutional and crypto markets. ZRO is integrated into the economic model, with venues able to stake the token for higher fee rebates.
The model also directs 75% of remaining ATLAS fees after rebates toward buying and burning ZRO. If ATLAS attracts significant trading activity, that mechanism could create another source of structural token demand.
LayerZero is also expanding its cross-chain footprint, with the protocol supporting more than 165 blockchains and 900 applications. The combination of interoperability activity, buybacks and new infrastructure gives ZRO a broader growth narrative than its recent price action alone.
ZRO’s recovery is gaining strength as buybacks, ecosystem expansion and new infrastructure converge around the token. The key question now is whether this demand can remain strong enough to absorb profit-taking after the rapid rally.
The upcoming October 20 token unlock of roughly 23.6 million ZRO adds another supply test, making sustained demand increasingly important.
