Stacks Price Rallies as Bitcoin Staking Gains Traction: What Comes Next?

Stacks (STX) is showing signs of a stronger recovery after spending much of October under selling pressure. The token has climbed toward $0.36, breaking above a descending resistance trendline and reclaiming several short-term moving averages. At the same time, its Bitcoin Staking programme is gaining traction, with more than 700 BTC committed across its first two bonding periods. The combination of improving price momentum and growing Bitcoin participation is bringing STX back into focus. However, can the latest rally sustain itself and push the token toward higher resistance levels?

Why Is Stacks (STX) Price Rising?

The latest recovery comes against a backdrop of growing activity around Stacks’ Bitcoin-focused financial infrastructure. One of the key developments is the expansion of Bitcoin Staking, which allows Bitcoin holders to participate in staking and earn BTC-denominated rewards while retaining control of their assets. The first two bonding periods attracted approximately 735 BTC, including 230 BTC in the initial period and another 505 BTC in the second.

The next bonding period is expected to open around November 10, with the programme moving toward monthly bonding windows. This expansion could increase demand for STX because the protocol uses STX alongside BTC to support bonding capacity.

The network is also preparing for its Epoch 4.1 upgrade, targeted for early December. The upgrade is expected to make Clarity 7 the default for new smart contracts, supporting further development across the ecosystem. The technical recovery and renewed attention around Bitcoin Staking appear to be supporting the broader narrative.

Stacks Price Analysis: STX Breaks Above October Downtrend

STX is showing a notable bullish move on the 1-hour chart after recovering from the $0.27–$0.28 region. The latest rise has pushed the token toward $0.368, taking it above a descending resistance trendline that had capped its recovery attempts throughout the second half of October. The breakout has also moved STX above its short-term moving averages, with the price now trading above the $0.35 region. Rising trading volume during the latest advance suggests increased buying participation, although the breakout still needs to hold.

On the upside, $0.38 is the immediate resistance level. A sustained move above this area could open the way toward $0.40–$0.48, where the next selling pressure may emerge. A stronger breakout above that range would improve the short-term recovery structure.

On the downside, $0.306 is an initial support area, followed by the psychological $0.30 level. If STX loses this zone, the moving-average cluster around $0.295–$0.294 could become the next area to watch. A deeper decline toward $0.28 would put the recent breakout at risk.

Can the Next Bitcoin Staking Period Strengthen STX Demand?

The upcoming bonding period could provide another important catalyst for the Stacks ecosystem. The first two periods demonstrated that Bitcoin holders are willing to participate in the programme, but the next phase will show whether that demand can continue as capacity expands.

Stacks is also targeting Epoch 4.1 for early December. The upgrade is expected to make Clarity 7 the default language version for new smart contracts, alongside additional improvements to the network. Beyond these developments, the ecosystem is working to expand the use of staked Bitcoin across decentralised finance applications, including lending, borrowing and yield-generating products. If more BTC enters the network and finds productive use, it could strengthen the long-term case for Stacks.
