The ongoing challenge by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) against Ripple has once again taken centre stage. Undeterred by the challenge, XRP is now showing a bullish historical pattern. Similarly, Pomerdoge (POMD) is showing resilience to the bearish trend, reaching a new milestone while in presale.
The Ripple (XRP) community thought they had achieved a major victory over the SEC after the July 13 ruling. However, just weeks later, the regulator filed an appeal to challenge the decision from Judge Analisa Torres.
Ripple’s chief technical officer, David Schwartz, argued that the SEC’s appeal was “completely incoherent.” Despite what many have seen as a bearish trend, XRP could still be bullish, showing a historical trend.
Today, the trading volume has surged by over 80%, confirming an old bullish trend for Ripple. This is backed up by XRP finally reclaiming the 20-day and 50-day SMAs (simple moving averages) against Bitcoin (BTC).
The last time XRP was above this level, the price of Ripple spiked by more than 15,400% in late 2017. From its current price of $0.6339, a magnitude of this nature will see the price of XRP could reach a new all-time high of $98.
