Trending altcoins Official Trump and MELANIA flipped major meme projects to land in top spots on the market capitalization rankings. It was bad news for the memes, especially Dogwifhat and BONK, but a splendid one for the Solana price.
The whole meme coin drama occurred on the one blockchain, and with the increased activity, Solana is leading the market in terms of DEX volume. Also, the Solana price is pegged at $265.78 on CoinMarketCap, with about 21.52% gains.
The Kaspa project has been one of the most popular PoW projects in the crypto-verse for the past year. Its popularity spiked when the Bitcoin mining firm Marathon Digital added KAS mining to its functions.
Kaspa joined the trending altcoins at the start of 2025 too, as the KAS tokens are now the seventh-placed largest mineable coins. The tokens are right behind Monero and Ethereum Classic, and its simultaneous block production makes Kaspa a desired mining option compared with most of the others.
