Tether To Replenish Tron Network With $1 Billion

The popular on-chain tracker, Whale Alert, has unveiled $1 billion in Tether coin minted for Tron. Reacting to the report, the CTO of Tether, Paolo Ardoino, said the minted tokens will be used as inventory to “replenish” the Tron network.

The funds will be used for upcoming issuance requests and chain swaps from the Tron network. The FAQ page of Tether further explains that this is important to secure the generation and issuance process of tokens on Tron.

The process allows Tether to issue customers funds and maintain a 100% reserve instantly. Although more USDT will not be added to Tron, the network is one of the biggest chains for the stablecoin. In 2023, USDT coins on Tron have been steadily increasing. 

Tron accounts for $42.8 billion of the Tether stablecoin in circulation. This is more than $39 billion circulating on the Ethereum network. USDT remains the biggest stablecoin, with a market cap of $83.1 billion.

Pomerdoge NFT Minting Goes Live, Closes in on Full Launch

In other news, Pomerdoge has set the meme coin space buzzing with excitement over the launch of its NFTs. On September 19, the team announced that the minting of the NFTs is now live. Users can now mint from the 7,777 unique NFTs on either the Pomerdoge website or on OpenSea.
