Like BTC, 2023 has also proven to be a good year for XRP. At the start of 2023, XRP was trading at $0.3363. But since then, it has gained 85.4% to reach $0.6238 by November 17. On October 20, 2023, the SEC dropped claims against two Ripple Lab Executives. The news further improved XRP’s value.
On November 7, Ripple announced a partnership with Onafriq, an Africa-focused payment fintech startup. The partnership aims to make borders matter less when it comes to sending payments within, to, and from Africa. Although the partnership can be beneficial for Ripple, it did not have a positive effect on the price of XRP.
Since the announcement on November 7, XRP has lost 17.5% in value to go from $0.7155 to $0.5901 on November 17. Whether the altcoin price will continue to go down or not is yet to be seen.
