Despite a dip in the overall market cap over the past week, experts still believe the market has more to offer as we head into 2025. Some have predicted that Ripple (XRP) could be the best investment, as they predict a 700% rise over the next few months. Others are looking beyond the top coins, with Fantom and the new MemeFi altcoin Yeti Ouro (YETIO) among the standouts.
XRP has been on a stellar run since late November and has been the highest gainer among the top 10 coins in the market, nearly quadrupling its value over the past four months.
Analysts expect the token to break out after a three-week consolidation in December, with the short-term target of XRP price being set at $3.5. After this, the token will embark on a run that experts believe will yield over 700% in returns.
Investors are also eyeing Fantom after the recent launch of the Sonic mainnet, an EVM-compatible high-throughput layer 1 blockchain network that promises to change the game. Sonic promises over 10,000 transactions per second, with finality achieved in less than a second.
While FTM has shed nearly 30% in the past week, Sonic’s launch could revitalize the token ahead of the New Year. Analysts note that it must break above $1.1 in the short term to surge over the first few weeks of 2025.
