According to ChainCatcher, Ripple’s XRP recent market report, the number of transactions on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) has witnessed an outstanding surge. After Q1 of 2024, the on-chain transactions of XRPL have doubled from Q3 of 2024. On the other hand, Borroe Finance ($ROE) has emerged as a rising altcoin in the market. Crypto News reported that the XRP Ledger (XRPL) has recorded 251.39 million on-chain transactions during Q1 of 2024. As per Ripple’s Markets report, XRPL has experienced a 108% surge in transaction volume from Q4 of 2023. During Q4, the XRPL on-chain transactions recorded around 121.03 million.
As a result, the number of transactions on XRPL has doubled from the fourth quarter of 2023 to the end of the first quarter of 2024. This has been propelled by a significant decrease in average cost per transaction. In fact, the average cost per transaction fell by 45% to approximately $0.000856.
In addition, the report also states that there was no network congestion despite having a downtick in average cost per transaction. Meanwhile, the daily spot trading volumes of XRP on major exchanges have risen by 40%. Moreover, major exchanges like Binance, Bybit and Upbit have accounted for more than 70% of the total volume.
Furthermore, the XRPL has also integrated with multi-chain platforms like Axelar. Its integration has expanded developers’ access to smart contracts and dApp (decentralized application). This helps them to connect over 55 blockchains.
