The launch of Venom’s public testnet represents a breakthrough in blockchain technology. As the first licensed Layer-0 blockchain operating out of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Venom has been developing and testing its technology for several years. The public testnet release marks an essential step toward the platform’s upcoming mainnet launch.

Checking Off Venom Roadmap Goals

With the launch of the testnet, Venom has unveiled a range of in-house developed decentralized applications, highlighting the platform’s growing ecosystem. The program has been designed to cater to developers and users, aiming to promote innovation and community building within the ecosystem.

Developers and users can easily access the testnet by downloading the Venom Wallet on their mobile devices via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store or as a Google Chrome extension on desktops. Additionally, users can jumpstart their journey of testing the Venom ecosystem by claiming a free testnet allocation. Like other networks, the system is designed to help builders start their journey, and it should not be abused.

Peter Knez, the Chair of the Venom Foundation Council, expressed excitement over the launch of the public testnet. He stated that the platform’s highly scalable and reliable asynchronous blockchain would “allow developers to build innovative dApps, while users can experience them firsthand.”

Why Developers Should Explore Venom

Developers can build on the asynchronous Venom blockchain, boasting ultra-fast speeds of up to 100k TPS and a dynamic sharding feature that enhances scalability and network reliability. In addition, a dedicated and growing repository of developer documentation provides developers with the necessary tools and knowledge to start building.

Venom’s network offers interoperability, making it a valuable tool for developers. Additionally, its low transaction fees make it user-friendly for global adoption. Interoperable and multichain solutions have been a catalyst for broader blockchain adoption and unlocking real-world use cases.

Several dApps, including Venom Wallet, Venom Scan, VenomPools, Web3.World, and Oasis.Gallery will debut on the platform’s testnet. Users can perform transactions and test the native Venom wallet while experiencing these dApps. In addition, user feedback is welcomed with open arms to help the ecosystem become more robust.

Venom’s public testnet launch is a milestone in blockchain technology. As the first licensed Layer-0 blockchain operating out of ADGM, Venom can help bring this technology into the mainstream.
