UBRI 2023 Focusing on Emerging Trends

UBRI is Ripple’s initiative to promote blockchain technology understanding and encourage students to explore it.

Since its launch in 2018, UBRI has joined forces with more than 45 universities in 20 countries, providing $11 million for blockchain research projects. It has facilitated over 1020 academic research efforts in the blockchain domain.

Meanwhile, this fifth edition of UBRI was all about educating students and researchers about the latest trends in blockchain, including central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), decentralized finance (DeFi), tokenization, and more.

This year, it extends its reach globally with four prominent European universities, namely, the University of Trento (Italy), Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), IE Madrid (Spain), and EPITA (France), making the roster of UBRI partners invited for this year’s event.

Ripple’s UBRI has had a significant impact on the global blockchain landscape. This program reflects Ripple’s commitment to advancing blockchain knowledge worldwide.
