Top 3 Altcoins To Watch Ahead Of Today’s CLARITY Act Vote

Bitcoin is trading near $77,000, in what analysts describe as an institutional holding range rather than a breakout or a decline. Support sits between $76,000 and $77,000, with resistance at $78,000-$79,000 and again at $80,000-$82,000.

Altcoins have outperformed Bitcoin over the past 30 days. Leverage has followed the same pattern. Open interest in altcoin perpetual futures has surpassed Bitcoin’s for the first time since late 2024, suggesting traders are increasingly favoring altcoins over Bitcoin in the near term.

Solana

Solana turned bullish on the weekly chart the week of August 24 and has gained about 8.6% since then, trading near $103. Analysts say the trend holds as long as Solana does not close a week below roughly $78. The token remains about 65% below its January 2025 high of $293.

A recent supply change approved by the Solana community through an on-chain vote is reducing the number of tokens in circulation, a shift that could support prices if demand continues to rise.

Hyperliquid

Hyperliquid turned bullish in April near $38 and has since gained more than 95%, reaching new highs. The platform allows users to trade stocks and crypto with leverage entirely on-chain and generates revenue from that activity, giving it a stronger fundamental base than many newer tokens. Because it is a relatively new addition to this market cycle, analysts believe it has room to climb further, potentially toward the $100 to $150 range.

Zcash

Zcash turned bullish in late August after closing a week above $665 and has since risen to more than $1,200. Open interest in Zcash futures peaked near $2.4 billion during the rally before pulling back, making it the most dramatic move among major altcoins recently.

As a privacy-focused cryptocurrency, Zcash has attracted growing interest from Bitcoin holders seeking added privacy, a theme gaining traction this cycle.

Two Events This Week

Markets face two major risks in close succession. The Senate holds a cloture vote on the CLARITY Act today, requiring 60 votes to advance. A failed vote is widely expected to end the bill’s chances for the rest of 2026.

The Federal Reserve’s policy meeting follows September 15-16, with markets now pricing a 60% to 70% chance of a 25-basis-point rate hike, up from lower odds in recent weeks, following remarks at the Jackson Hole conference and rising oil prices.
