The Starknet Foundation is set to kick off the first phase of its groundbreaking Starknet Provisions Program, a strategic move to distribute a whopping 700 million Starknet Tokens (STRK) to the community.
This initiative is aimed at approximately 1.3 million eligible wallets, including early users of ecosystem dApps, network contributors, Ethereum builders, and open-source developers, marking a significant step in empowering a broad community base.
Starknet, a Layer-2 network on Ethereum, is scaling decentralized applications using a ZK-Rollup solution. The introduction of the Starknet Token (STRK) is pivotal for decentralization and governance.
In this first phase, more than 700 million STRK will be distributed across nearly 1.3 million addresses, a substantial part of the overall 900 million STRK allocated for the Provisions program. It’s part of a broader commitment of 1.8 billion STRK designated for the Starknet community.
