Solana Meme Coin Projects Abandoned After Raising $26.7 Million: ZachXBT Says It’s Over

Cryptocurrency on-chain investigator ZachXBT sets off the alarms in Solana’s ecosystem, pointing to a bad trend emerging in the community–presale meme coin projects that were abandoned.

As reported by ZachXBT’s latest tweet, about 12 meme coins that were launched by Solana presale projects disappeared completely within one month from initiation. The total collective amount that was transformed into SOL by these meme coins was about 180,650 SOL equalling $26.7 million.

This insight serves as a critical alert to future investors, who are advised to be cautious and not engage in future projects associated with such founders. The immediate depletion of these meme coin undertakings shows the actual risks that are present within crypto assets especially concerning meme tokens.

What Did Solana See as a Meme Coin Frenzy?

The emergence of presale meme coins on Solana became widely manifested as inquisitive investors perceived it as a quick cash generator. On one hand, the data by ZachXBT reveal the truth behind this trend and while some projects succeed and bring investors the expected return, others fail to materialize, leaving many without profits.

The inspiration behind the presale of meme coins is the chance of a tremendous lucrative gain, which is, however, accompanied by some very serious risks. With Solana climbing the top of the ladder by achieving high trade volumes, presales skyrocketed during this period.

A lot of such initiatives do not aim at any concrete target and are not intended to be sustainable over longer periods, thus reducing their chances of being continued by the initiators.

The message made by ZachXBT is a grim reminder, on the matter of doing proper due diligence before investing in any cryptocurrency investment scheme.

Given these trends, general investors should better deal with Solana presale meme coin projects or any other of such kind with an attitude of suspicion and wariness. By selecting projects that have led to a successful history of clear development teams and implementation, investors will avoid the risk of being scammed or left with abandoned projects.
