The National Cryptocurrency Association (NCA) launched with a $50 million grant from Ripple in March 2025, is trying to provide more clarity on cryptocurrency. Recently, Alderoty, the Chief Legal Officer of Ripple and President of NCA, raised concerns regarding crypto investors searching for the right crypto.
Alderoty pointed out that 55% of non-crypto holders feel that crypto research is overwhelming.
In a recent post on X, Stuart Alderoty pointed out that the National Cryptocurrency Association (NCA) drafted a report showing the need for a better crypto platform for Americans.
According to the report, there is a wide gap in cryptocurrency education in America, making the research overwhelming for non-crypto holders.
Since 1 in 5 Americans use crypto, the NCA president wants to make the research and education easier for non-crypto users in the US. Alderoty stated, “We’re focused on clear, jargon-free resources to help everyday Americans understand crypto—because education is key to responsible adoption.”
In Q2 2025, 49% of Americans lack knowledge about how crypto works, while 68% are curious about using crypto but are not sure where to start. The NCA reports that Americans need a better understanding of the differences between types of crypto, as more than 40% of Americans fear fraud in the crypto space.
While 42% of US citizens are likely to acquire or use crypto in 2025, they still require proper education on crypto to avoid being scammed or defrauded. NCA aims to pave the way to create a platform providing essential education on cryptocurrency, as 30% of the US population wants access to easy-to-understand resources to learn how to use crypto safely.
The National Cryptocurrency Association may boost confidence among non-crypto holders and encourage them to adopt crypto, as it addresses the barriers and issues in the crypto space. Alderoty aims to promote the new non-profit organization dedicated to helping Americans better understand crypto, while also expanding Ripple’s landscape.
The NCA is a nonprofit launched with $50M from Ripple to improve crypto education and accessibility for Americans.
NCA launched the initiative because 55% of non-crypto holders feel crypto research is overwhelming and hard to understand.
NCA plans to educate users on different types of crypto and safety practices, since over 40% of Americans fear crypto-related fraud.
