Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is set to speak at the 2026 Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, one of the year’s most influential crypto policy events. He will join SEC Chairman Paul Atkins, Senator Tim Scott, and other industry leaders to discuss the future of digital assets just weeks after Congress returns from its August recess.
The 2026 Wyoming Blockchain Symposium will take place from Aug. 17 to Aug. 20 at the Four Seasons Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
The invitation only event is jointly hosted by SALT and crypto exchange Kraken, bringing together around 500 institutional investors, regulators, blockchain founders, and policymakers.
Garlinghouse will share the stage with several influential names, including,
Unlike public crypto conferences, the symposium focuses on closed-door discussions around regulation, institutional adoption, and blockchain innovation.
Garlinghouse’s attendance comes at an important time for Ripple.
One major reason is the expected presence of SEC Chairman Paul Atkins. After four years of legal battles between Ripple and the SEC, the event could open the door for discussions on future crypto rules
In addition to this, Ripple may also promote its RLUSD stablecoin and show how the XRP Ledger (XRPL) can support payments, tokenized assets, and regulated stablecoins.
Another key topic could be the future of the CLARITY Act. Since the conference begins shortly after Congress returns from its August recess, discussions may focus on alternative regulatory paths if lawmakers fail to move the legislation forward.
Coinpedia news reported that SEC Chair Paul Atkins said the SEC can move ahead with rulemaking under its existing powers if lawmakers fail to pass the CLARITY Act.
Organizers said the symposium event will focus on three major themes, including,
The Wyoming appearance also adds to Garlinghouse’s busy schedule ahead of Ripple Swell 2026, which will be held in New York City from Oct. 27 to Oct. 29, where Ripple is expected to showcase its latest institutional blockchain and payment initiatives.
