XRP ETFs to Launch by 2025? Ripple CEO Garlinghouse is Bullish!

Ripple (XRP) enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting a pivotal ruling in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) lawsuit against the payment remittance firm. Initially expected in May 2024, the court ruling is still pending, leaving stakeholders in suspense.

Garlinghouse’s Vision

In the midst of this uncertainty, Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse has made a bold prediction about the future of XRP. In a recent interview with Fox Business reporter Liz Claman, Garlinghouse expressed strong confidence in the potential approval of an XRP Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) by 2025.

Garlinghouse points to recent approvals for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs as indicators of a broader trend. He believes that the recent green light for a Spot Ethereum ETF has paved the way for similar financial products, including one for XRP.

“An XRP ETF is simply inevitable,” Garlinghouse asserts, highlighting the increasing demand among investors for diversified portfolios that include various asset classes.

Regulatory Trouble: McBridge’s Insight

Echoing Garlinghouse’s optimism, former Ripple executive Sean McBride also predicts the emergence of an XRP ETF within the next year or two. McBride emphasizes the challenge that the SEC would face in rejecting additional crypto ETFs once one gains approval.

Adding to the anticipation, Blackrock CEO Larry Fink’s mysterious response during a Fox Business interview regarding XRP ETFs has sparked speculation within the XRP community. While Fink didn’t give a clear answer, his remarks have stirred up fervent discussion among enthusiasts.

Impact on XRP Price

Anticipation for the introduction of Spot XRP ETFs is high, with market observers predicting a significant impact on XRP’s price dynamics. Historically, the approval of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs has led to notable price surges for these assets. Consequently, the possibility of an XRP ETF approval represents a pivotal moment for the token, which has struggled to surpass the $1 mark recently.

As of now, XRP price is trading at $0.53, reflecting a slight increase seen in the last 24 hours. Along with this the market cap has seen a surge of $29.1 billion.
